Ofotert.hu is a website redesign project focused on creating a modern, user-friendly, and visually polished digital experience for one of Hungary’s best-known optical brands. The goal of the project was to improve the overall usability of the platform while presenting products, services, and brand communication in a clearer and more engaging way.
The design approach focused on making the browsing experience more intuitive for users looking for eyewear, eye examinations, store information, and promotions. By simplifying content structure, improving navigation, and introducing a more cohesive visual system, the website becomes easier to explore and more aligned with contemporary user expectations.
Process:
Research and Discovery: Start by understanding Ofotert’s business goals, target audience, service offering, and the key expectations users have when visiting an optical brand’s website. Review the existing website, competitors, and user needs to identify usability issues and opportunities for improvement.
User Personas and Journey Mapping: Define the main user groups, such as customers searching for glasses, contact lenses, eye examinations, promotions, or store details. Map out their journeys to better understand their intentions, decision-making process, and pain points across the website.
UI Design and Visual Direction: Design a modern and cohesive interface that reflects Ofotert’s brand while improving readability, trust, and ease of use. Define typography, spacing, color usage, imagery, and component styles to create a consistent digital experience across all pages.
Responsive Web Design: Ensure the design works seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Adapt layouts and interactions to maintain clarity, accessibility, and usability on every screen size.
Prototype and Review: Build interactive design prototypes to demonstrate the main user flows and page behaviors. Review these with stakeholders to gather feedback and refine the experience before finalizing the design.
Iteration and Refinement: Make improvements based on review feedback, usability considerations, and business priorities. Fine-tune the interface to ensure the final design is polished, user-friendly, and conversion-focused.
Design Handoff: Prepare and organize the final UI files, components, and documentation for handoff. Ensure the development team has everything needed to implement the design accurately and consistently.
Collaboration and Quality Review: Stay involved during implementation reviews to help maintain visual quality and alignment with the original design vision. Support the process with feedback and clarification where needed.
